Human Semen Packaging Set

The patented Minitube system for cryopreservation of biological material is used for packaging of human semen in 36 portions. Packaging in small aliquots instead of large volumes offers the advantage of being most flexible with respect to semen quality. The Human Semen Packaging Set (HS-Set) contains all necessary components for processing and LN₂ storage of one ejaculate. All components in this sterile set are coded. One end of the straws is pre-sealed by ultrasound. After filling, the other end can be closed conventionally, using metal balls which still are part of the package. However, it is state of the art to seal the open end by using our heat sealer to minimize the risk of leakage or contamination.

The HS-Set is sterilized by gamma irradiation and CE marked.
