AGRBM "Praxisseminar" - EmbryoScope

In the course of the AGRBM Praxisseminar in Leipzig, MTG organized a well-attended pre-congress workshop on the EmbryoScope. It was the 4th workshop of its kind in the German-speaking territories. Guest speaker Alison Campbell, Director of Embryology at CARE Fertility, UK presented insights in the practical work carried out with the 8 EmbryoScope systems currently used at the CARE group.

New publications about the EmbryoScope™:

At the ASRM 2012 in San Diego IVF labs from all over the world presented their abstracts about innovative embryo culture using the Fertilitech EmbryoScope™. Nine of the 25 contributions had been selected for oral presentation, showing the high potential of morphokinetic assessment of embryos combined with innovative embryo culture in the Fertilitech EmbryoScope™. A summary of abstracts can be downloaded as PDF file below.
Two recent studies identified by time-lapse analysis in the EmbryoScope™ important markers for embryo development resulting in improved pregnancy rates. Please contact MTG for further information.

Workshop on trophectoderm biopsy

On November 26, 2011, MTG organized a workshop on trophectoderm biopsy within the symposium “Preimplantation Genetic Giagnosis” organized by the Medical Genetics Center Munich. The huge interest shown in our workshop emphasizes the relevance of tropectoderm biopsy as a technique for PGD. The workshop offered both practical demonstrations and a hands-on part where people could experience the effectiveness, safety and convenience of using OCTAX Laser ShotTM for tropectoderm biopsy. We are proud to report nine ongoing pregnancies in Germany after PGD and trophectoderm biopsy using OCTAX Laser ShotTM.

Thank you for a great ESHRE 2011

MTG wants to thank all participants and visitors for a great ESHRE 2011 congress. You can find impressions from Stockholm in the picture gallery below (click to enlarge).

Discussing with numerous embryologists and gynecologists, our specialists could show the practical aspects of trophectoderm biopsy and demonstrate the advantages of OCTAX lasers from digital videos.

The first study on tropectoderm biopsy using our laser dates back to 1997 when today´s ESHRE president Dr Ana Veiga published pioneering work on this technology.

First IVF centre in Mongolia

In May 2011, MTG could complete a turn key project in Ulan Bator, setting up the first IVF centre in Mongolia. Bayangol clinic is on a high technical level – the equipment we installed will provide a solid base for treatment success. Even TV reported on the opening of the new centre. We thank for the confidence and cooperation and wish all the best for the future.

New collaboration

We are pleased to announce that MTG has been appointed the exclusive distributor for the EmbryoScopeTM and the EmbryoViewerTM in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The collaboration between Unisense FertiliTech A/S and MTG started on February 1, 2011.

The EmbryoScopeTM is combining IVF incubation and time lapse documentation of embryo development at very high levels. It offers a unique range of new parameters for improved assessment of embryonic developmental potential.
